Foster Youth Education Fund is excited to announce that we are participating in the May 2nd Big Day of Giving - a 24 hour celebration and giving challenge to raise funds for local non-profits, held by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation.

Only 3% of former foster youth graduate with a college degree. FYEF seeks to improve this percentage– here’s how your donation can help:

$50 - School Supplies, Course Activation Code

$100 - Textbook, 1-2 weeks of gas

$200 - Campus Parking Pass, Dorm Essentials, 2-3 Textbooks

$250 - 2 Weeks of Groceries, Semester Meal Plan, ½ Month Off-Campus Rent

$500 - 1 Month of Groceries, 1 Month of Childcare, Emergency Funding for 1 Scholar

How can I help?

GIVE: You can donate to FYEF by visiting www.bigdayofgiving.org/organization/FOSTERYOUTHEDUCATIONFUND on or before Thursday, May 2, and making a gift with a credit or debit card.

  • Donations as little as $10 make a big difference.

  • Your gifts can help us win some of the prizes that are up for grabs!

  • You can start giving from April 18 through May 2 during the Early Giving period.

Scholar Voices

Thank you for the computer I was given. It has been so helpful being able to study at home. Before, I had to complete all of my homework and studying in the library at my school. I really appreciate all that this organization has done for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I don’t really know how to express how much I appreciate the support Foster Youth Education Fund has given me. It is beyond words. I will say this though, it is so good to know there are people in my corner that really care about me and my well-being.

...I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of the support you have given me throughout my education. I am so fortunate to have found this scholarship that serves former foster youth from my area. There are so many former foster youth who are forgotten after they leave the system. This organization gives us the chance to make something of ourselves rather than fall into a negative statistic. I am graduating in May this year and I couldn’t have done it without your support...thank you for helping me achieve my goals.
