Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Securing & supporting video taping of show
- Securing & supporting audio support/DJ
- Securing & supporting photographer
Clothing
Committee Chair and Contact: Cindy Gootee, Lori Kidd
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Pull and organize outfits at department store for each scene for each model 1 week prior to show
- Assist models at fittings the week before the show View the Fitting Schedule
- Coordinate pick-up and drop off of clothing to department store
- Track clothing for each scene
- Work with Dressing Room Chair
Time Needed: Approximately 5 - 15 hours
Timeframe: One Week prior to the show
Additional Members needed:at least 14
Decorations
Committee Chair and Contact: Kathryn Scott
Volunteer activities could include ny of the following:
- Create centerpieces for event tables and stage backdrop in keeping with annual theme
- Order needed props and sets for event
- Set up pre-made decorations and backdrop on day of event
- Coordinates workers for day of event
Time needed: Approximately 5 - 10 hours
Timeframe: One month prior through the day of the show
Additional members needed: 6 – 8
Dressing Rooms
Committee Chair and Contact: Susan Lerman
Volunteer Activities could include any of the following
- Coordinates dressing rooms on day of fashion show by setting up changing
- Stations and helping models get dressed for their scenes.
- Organize and supply all necessary items needed to staff room (mirrors, sewing kits, etc.)
Time needed: Approximately 8 – 10 hours
Timeframe: One week prior through the day of the show
Additional members needed: 8 – 10
Event Registration Table
Committee Chair and Contact: Lucy Berger
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Set up and staff registration table
- Track will-call tickets
- Sell raffle tickets
- Create and monitor Reserve seating and greet VIP’s
- Help seat all guests
Time needed: Approximately 8 hours
Timeframe: Day of the show
Additional members needed: 3 – 4
Food
Committee Chairs and Contact: Debby Hiltz & Camille Obad
Volunteer Activities could include any of the following:
- Develop menu and arrange for amount of food and drinks needed
- Track food donations
- Help with food preparation and display
- Help with set up and clean up
Time needed: Approximately 10 hours
Timeframe: Food tracking and planning will be completed One month prior through the day of the show.Most of the committee work is completed just on the one day of the show.
Additional members needed: 6 – 8
Hair and Make-up
Committee Chairs and Contact: Mia Stizzo & Patricia Goodmanson
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Coordinate hair and make-up stylists for day of Fashion Show
- Brief models on expectations for day of show
- Ensure stylists have supplies needed
- Provide hair and make-up services to models on day of show
Time needed: Approximately 8 hours
Timeframe: Day of the show
Additional members needed: 10 – 15
Models
Committee Chairs and Contact: Pat Riley
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Recruit foster youth models from community
- Organize personal and contact information for models
- Obtain appropriate approvals for participation
- Coordinate model transprotation as needed
Time needed: Approximately 30 hours
Timeframe: Three months prior through the day of the show
Additional members needed: 3 – 4
Mentors/Drivers
Committee Chair and Contact: Pat Riley
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Agree to mentor 2-3 youth through the fashion show
- Provide transportation to all rehearsals and clothes fitting dates
- Assure attendance of models
- Facilitate scholarship application if eligible
Time Needed: Approximately 20 hours
Timeframe: – One month prior through the day of the show.Most of the work is needed the week before the show when the models are attending rehersals and fittings.

Post Event Activities

Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Coordinate thank you letters to sponsors and donors
- Coordinate thank you parties for the youth and volunteers.
Time needed: Approximately 10 - 15 hours
Timeframe: Two months prior through 2 weeks after the event
Additional members needed: 3 – 4
Program Design and Printing
Committee Chair: Need Chair. Volunteer Today!
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Design and Print Final Program
- Collect all pertinent information from all committees for the program
- Fold and Disseminate at Show
Time needed: Approximately 20 hours
Timeframe: Two weeks prior through the day of show
Additional members needed: 2
Props
Committee Chair: NO CHAIR - Volunteer Today!
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Review Fashion Show Script and Identify all needed props
- Collect props – through donation or purchase
- Organize props by scene and distribute day of show
Time needed: Approximately 10 - 20 hours
Timeframe: One month prior through the day of show
Additional members needed: 2 sign up if interested.
Public Relations
Committee Chair and Contact: Joni Pitcl, Erin Saberi & Renee Wessels
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Develop and implement communications strategy to publicizeevent
- Identify appropriate youth to speak with press and obtain needed authorizations
Time needed: Approximately 20 hours
Timeframe: One month prior through the day of the show
Additional members needed: 2 – 3
Raffle
Committee Chair and Contacts: Cathy Senderling & Chris Steele
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Secure raffle donations
- Package donations for day of raffle
- Coordinate raffle and silent auction
- Coordinate thank you to donors
Time needed: Approximately 20 hours
Timeframe:Two months prior through one week after the show
Additional members needed: 3 – 4
Rehearsals – Food
Committee Chair and Contact: Kelly Brooks
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Identify menu and prepare and deliver food for each rehearsal
- Coordinate with rehearsal chair on dates, time and location needed
Time needed: Approximately 20 hours
Timeframe: Two weeks prior through the day of the show.All rehersals are scheduled the week before the show.
Additional members needed: 3 – 4
Rehearsals – Models and Scenes
Committee Chair and Contact: Pat Riley & Cindy Gootee
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Learn choreography for all scenes and obtain music from Fashion show Choreographer
- Identify models for each scene
- Coordinate Rehearsals
- Teach models fashion show routines
Time needed: Approximately 40 - 50 hours
Timeframe: Two months prior through the day of the show. All rehersals are scheduled for the week before the show.

Sponsorships
Committee Chairs and Contact: Ann Richardson, Joni Pitcl, Sherry Griffith & Susan Lerman
Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Develop and coordinate plan for outreach to business and stakeholder community
- Solict and secure donations via letters and personal contact
- Solicit and secure in kind donations (food, linens, etc.)
Time needed: Approximately 5 - 15 hours
Timeframe: Three months prior through the week before the show
Additional members needed: 3 – 4
Ticket Sales
Committee Chair:

Volunteer activities could include any of the following:
- Oversee design and print ing of tickets
- Produce invitations to be mailed to database
- Disseminate tickets by mail or in person to Advisory Committee Members and other ticket sales people
- Track distribution of tickets
- Monitor and encourage sales
Timeframe: Two months prior through the day of the show
Time needed: Approximately 5 - 10 hours
Additional members needed: 2 – 3
Rehearsal Wrangler
Committee Chair: Nora Gerber
Volunteer activities could include any of the following
- Attend all rehearsal
- Help to keep youth quite and focused on learning scenes
- Handle issue that arise during rehearsals
Timeframe: Week before event
Time needed: Approximately 5 -10 hours
